Posts, beams, rafters and trusses, milled from local Douglas fir, spruce and ponderosa and cut to your plans instead of whatever the lumberyard happens to stock. Everything is true dimension, so a 6x6 measures a full six inches each way. The odd sizes nobody else carries are a big part of what we do.

Timber packages

Complete frames for barns, pavilions, pergolas, entries and homes, cut from a single list at a single mill.

Beams & posts

Headers, ridge beams, mantels and porch posts, left rough sawn so the wood looks like wood.

Siding & fencing

Board-and-batten, barn siding and fence boards, all rough sawn. Wide fir gets expensive, so for siding we often steer people toward pine.

Species

Douglas fir, Engelmann and blue spruce, and ponderosa pine. 100% locally sourced from the Western Slope. More on each species.

We can kiln dry timbers, but we don't recommend it. Kiln drying costs strength, and our climate air dries them well on its own. Because Colorado trees are small, most of our timbers carry the heart of the log, so some checking should be expected. When a timber is going to check, it usually shows within the first 10 days.

How an order works

1. Send your cut list or plans
2. Quote in about 1 business day, good for 30 days
3. Orders over $1,000 need a 50% deposit to start
4. We text you when it's on the mill and when it's done
5. We let you know when it's ready. We don't deliver, but we can put you in touch with a hauler.
